Clifton A. McClelland, Jr. practices business, real estate and governmental law. He has counseled businesses and individuals on the formation of businesses, purchase and sale of businesses, and business contracts. He has prepared subdivision and commercial real estate development documents. He has been lead counsel in business breach of contract litigation, construction contract disputes, uniform commercial code controversies, employment matters, landlord-tenant litigation, condemnation, zoning and land use cases. His trial experience includes extensive complex litigation involving both jury and non-jury cases.

Mr. McClelland is a member of the Florida Bar Board of Governors for Brevard and Seminole Counties. He serves on the Bar Board Rules Committee and Discipline Procedure Committee.

In 2002, the Brevard County Bar Association presented Mr. McClelland with its prestigious Professionalism Award. The award is given to the private practitioner who shows the highest ideas and tenets of the legal profession and for consistently demonstrating the essential attributes of character, competence, and commitment in the practice of law.

Mr. McClelland previously won the A. Max Brewer bar award for outstanding service to the community. Mr. McClelland is a Master member of the Vassar B. Carlton Inns of Court which trains members of the bar in trial tactics and professionalism.

Mr. McClelland has been admitted to practice before the Florida trial and appellate courts, the Eleventh District Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. McClelland has been President of the YMCA, the American Heart Association, and the Brevard County Gator Club. He has served as Vice-Chairman of the Melbourne-Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, Chairman, of the FIT Corporation, Chairman of the Melbourne-Palm Bay Development Council, and Chairman of the Marine Resources Council.

Mr. McClelland received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Juris Doctor from the University of Florida.
